MCpl Lucas Jeffery, a former 3 PPCLI sniper and now a SAR Tech with 442 Squadron, is taking on a solo 24-hour run to raise funds for the 3 PPCLI soldiers and families affected by the CFB Wainwright fires. The Canadian Sniper Association is proud to help spread the word.
MCpl Jeffery spent 10 years with the 3rd Battalion, serving in Mountain Company, Jump Company, Recce Platoon and Sniper Platoon. When he heard about the fires and the injuries to members of his former battalion, he decided to do something about it. In his words, you can leave the battalion, but it never truly leaves you.
The Challenge
📅 November 7, 4:00 AM to November 8, 4:00 AM
📍 PSP Track, 1575 Military Row, Lazo (Comox), BC
MCpl Jeffery will run and walk 5 km loops for 24 straight hours, covering as much distance as he can. Alongside his solo effort, Josh Campbell is leading a 24-hour team relay with members at locations across Canada.

Where the Money Goes
All money raised goes directly to the 3 PPCLI soldiers and their families. Funds will be split equally among the soldiers who were admitted to the ICU after the fires and given to them or the families supporting them through recovery.
