On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who donated or submitted an essay. We had a total of 191 people contribute, and thanks to all of you, we’ve raised over $32,000! This money will go directly toward funding CSA events, building our community, and supporting various initiatives that will benefit all of us.
What will the funds be used for? Some of the funds we raised will go toward creating our members portal on the website. We also plan to introduce merchandise, including hats, hoodies, and coins, for purchase before the end of the year. We’re excited to announce that we’re working on creating a bursary program to help support the family members of our community in their next steps in the education process.
Additionally, we want to set aside funds for emergency relief in case any of our members find themselves facing hard times. It might not be much, but we believe in taking care of our own. We will, of course, continue to support the Top Candidate Award for the three Infantry Regiments and are looking into creating a Top Sniper Award in the future. Being an association made up of serving and veteran members, it’s also important for us to support other veteran organizations that share our vision of providing support. That’s why, thanks to your generous contributions, we’ve made a donation to Operation Pegasus Jump, helping make their annual
operations a success. This is just a quick overview of what we’re doing with the funds. We want to ensure everyone knows that your donations are going 100% back into the community.
We used a custom app that displayed the names of everyone who donated or submitted an essay. The spinning wheel uses a random number generator to ensure that the winners are selected fairly and randomly for each prize.
